New Officer Appointed to the Bellingham Corps
Major Shevaun Malone appointed to The Salvation Army Bellingham Corps
Major Shevaun Malone is now serving as The Salvation Army officer in Bellingham. Major Shevaun is excited to meet the people of Bellingham and serve those in need. The Bellingham Corps serves neighbors in need with programs that include a client choice food bank, rental assistance, eviction prevention, church services, and youth services. The divisional leader of The Salvation Army Northwest, Lt. Colonel Cindy Foley says, “It is always a great moment in our local communities when a fresh and enthusiastic officer arrives on the scene. We have high hopes for the love and support Major Shevaun Malone will give to the people of Bellingham through her service.”
Major Shevaun has been serving as an officer in The Salvation Army throughout the United States and overseas for over 20 years. She served in the northwest before, working in youth programming to provide spiritual guidance and support for children and teens. Major Shevaun came to The Salvation Army after attending bible school as a child; since the age of eleven, she has been attending church and has been passionate about the organization’s mission. Major Shevaun looks forward to bringing her passion for the Army to neighbors in need in Bellingham.
The Salvation Army Northwest Division helps people overcome poverty, addiction, and economic hardships through a range of social services by providing food for the hungry, clothing and shelter for the homeless, disaster relief, senior activities and outreach, adult rehabilitation, and opportunities for underprivileged children.
